Karen Gray
Varsity Head Coach

This is Coach Gray's fourth year as Varsity Head Coach at Mountain Pointe High School.  Prior to being named the Varsity Head Coach, Coach Gray was the Head JV Coach for the 2011 and 2012 season.  In her first season as head coach of the Pride Varsity team, Gray coached the team to the second round of the D1 state championships.

Coach Gray is also an associate club director and club coach for the last seven years and has coached several of the top club teams in the state.  This includes winning four National Qualifiers and a gold at the USA Volleyball Junior National Championships in 2013.

Earning a full volleyball scholarship to Villanova, a Big East NCAA Division I program, Coach Gray graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Communications.  As a 4-year starter at Villanova, Coach Gray held the all-time "Kills" record that stood for more than ten years and won several all-tournament awards as a middle blocker during her collegiate career.

Coach Gray believes that the Mountain Pointe girls' volleyball program will have a strong 2014 season with many talented incoming players and several outstanding upperclassmen, and that there are great things in store for the Pride Volleyball program in the next few years!
